It’s Been a While…
Wednesday, March 28th, 2007I’m on morning watch again (10:30 PM to 6:30 AM), but it’s only for two weeks. Morning watch is low on man power, so I was volunteered by the brass to fill in since I’m the lowest man on the totem pole. I was told by the major that I would be there for about six months or longer until they could find someone to work the shift permanently. Luckily, the lieutenant likes me, so he worked out a rotation schedule. Each person on evening shift has to work four weeks on morning watch. Since I’m going to Arizona for Matt’s wedding in a couple of weeks, I only have to work two weeks on morning watch. I lucked out.
I’ve enjoyed working on morning watch, I just can’t stand the hours. My first traffic stop on my first night I got an arrest. On my second night I recovered a vehicle that was stolen in December.
I am now officially finished with training. There were twelve people who graduated from my academy class, and only nine are left.

Michelle, Dave and I moved into a town home. It’s in an apartment complex just a few miles from where we were staying, but it’s a great improvement from our apartment. I’ll post some pictures of the interior in the near future once we get the place set up how we want.
